Aveela compared with Scribe
Both tools answer the same starting question - "how do I capture a workflow without typing it out?" - with different emphasis. Scribe records your clicks and generates a step-by-step guide from them. Aveela also records in the browser, or starts from individual screenshots, writes an AI draft out of them, and mainly covers what comes next: multi-page documentation delivered to your client as a portal.

You pick the target space up front; the AI writes a page draft with steps and images from it. Recording works in the browser only.

Records the workflow while you click and generates the steps automatically. Scribe calls this "AI-powered automatic capture" and states that it works with any web app.

Where Scribe is the better choice
- You want to record workflows outside the browser too: from "Pro Personal" upwards Scribe captures desktop and mobile apps as well as web apps. Aveela records in the browser only.
- You need many short standalone guides to embed in other tools - not one coherent body of documentation with navigation.
- You want to start without a budget: Scribe has a permanently free plan, Aveela does not once the 14-day trial ends.
In short
If the deliverable is a single, quickly recorded guide, Scribe is the shorter route. If it should grow into maintained client documentation under your name - several pages, several languages, per-client access and a clear answer on where it is hosted - that is the case Aveela is built for.
