Explaining the same WordPress basics at every handover?

Your WordPress clients look it up instead of asking you.

You do a task once in the WordPress admin – say, publishing a post or adding a product. A browser extension takes a screenshot of every step, and the AI turns them into an illustrated guide. Together, the guides become your client's online handbook: with their logo and colours, reachable by link for their whole team. For WordPress and WooCommerce.

The handover that repeats with every project

The same training, every time

Editing posts and pages, uploading images to the media library, adding a product, cancelling an order: in every handover call you explain the same basics. Three months later the same question arrives by email.

The PDF that is outdated by the next update

The handover guide gets written once, as a PDF full of screenshots. After the next plugin or WordPress update the images no longer match - and nobody ever touches the document again.

Whoever comes later was never there

New staff at the client, someone covering a colleague, the extra help for the holiday season: none of them sat in on a training. For them, only what is written down counts.

How it works

From click-through to guide in three steps

  1. 1

    Record in the WordPress admin

Start a recording in the Aveela extension for Chrome and click through the workflow as usual. The extension stays open as a side panel and captures every screen. It does not transfer what you type into fields as text, and it skips password fields.

  2. 2

    The AI writes the draft

The screens become a page with headings, numbered steps and every screenshot in the right place. You read it through, add what is different in this project, and publish the page.

  3. 3

    The guides become their handbook

Every guide lands in your client's space. Together they make up the handbook for their shop - with their logo and colours, organised into chapters, with search. In the example: the online shop of a made-up coffee roastery, built by an equally made-up agency.

What your client gets

A handbook of their own

Every client gets their own, cleanly separated handbook as a portal. You manage them all from one account - up to 5 clients on the Freelance plan, up to 25 on the Agency plan.

Reading without an account

Your client opens a share link and reads - no sign-up. If it should stay private, invite them by email instead. Readers never take up a paid seat.

In their own brand

The client's logo and colours are available on every plan. The guides feel like part of their shop, not like somebody else's tool.

Under your name (Agency)

On the Agency plan the portal runs under your own subdomain, and the footer shows your logo instead of the Aveela badge.

The basics for everyone, the specifics for this client

The basics are the same for every WordPress client and take a few minutes per workflow to record - in this client's own admin, with their products and their theme instead of a generic tutorial. Then add what only this project has. Both live in the same space, as separate chapters.

Basics

  • Editing posts and pages
  • Images and files in the media library
  • Adding and editing products
  • Processing and cancelling orders
  • Creating coupons

Specifics

  • Custom blocks and templates
  • The plugins of this project
  • Forms and where they send to
  • Workflows only this shop has

After a plugin update you re-record only the affected workflow; every other page stays as it is.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with any WordPress site?

With any WordPress admin, WooCommerce included: recording happens in the browser (Chrome), not through a WordPress integration. Nothing is installed on your client's website - no plugin, no access for us.

What about the block editor or a page builder?

Yes. The editing canvas of the block editor and of many page builders runs in its own frame, but the recording picks up clicks inside it like anywhere else (from version 1.3.0 of the extension). Only content embedded from other providers, such as a video or a payment form, is deliberately left out. To keep a state that no click leads to, use "Keep this screen" in the side panel (or by shortcut, Alt+Shift+S is suggested).

Does my client have to sign up?

No. With a share link they read without an account. If the guides should not be public, invite them by email instead; they still do not take up a paid seat.

What happens after a plugin update?

You re-record only the workflow that changed and replace the affected page with it. Everything else stays. A guide does not update itself - but it lives in one place instead of in several PDF versions sent around.

Do logins or customer data end up in the guide?

The extension does not transfer what you type into fields as text and skips password fields entirely. Only what is visible in the screenshot shows up - and the AI is instructed not to carry over names of people, companies or addresses from a recording. You review the draft before you publish it.

Is there a ready-made template for the WordPress basics?

No. You record the basics in each client's own admin - it takes a few minutes per workflow and shows their products and their theme rather than a sample.

Does it work for multilingual shops?

Yes. You maintain a space's content per language, and the AI drafts the translation of a page for you to review. Aveela's interface is available in German and English.
